·        Resent COC, Philip Shaw finished 12^th Overall and winner of class 5 on the 1998 event

·        Jimmy McRae drove a Porsche as 00 car on the 1996 event, unfortunately it did not last long as mechanical trouble cut short his day

·        The 1996 event has been the only tour of the Sperrins until this year that has not been run on gravel.  Due to forestry operations the 96 event was held on the tarmac drives of Davagh Forest.

·        No 1 seed on the 1988 event was Derek McGarrity.

·        1^st N.I. Championship event to run 1400cc cars at the front of the field.

·        Has run as half gravel, half tarmac, and what a stir that caused!
