 | START of CONTROL ZONE | The Red Clock indicates the exact location of the Control, known as "Stage Arrival", i.e. the competitors have arrived, and are ready to proceed to the START line. |

The Yellow Clock indicates that competitors are entering a "Control Zone" and must not enter until their due time, otherwise they be penalised for early / late arrival. |
 | LOCATION of START LINE | The Red Furled Flag is sited at the Stage Start Line. It is here the stopwatch starts to record the competitors time through the stage. |
 | END of CONTROL ZONE | A buff coloured sign show where the control zone ends. |
 | RADIO POINT | Throughout the stage, radio operators monitor the progress of competitors and report any incidents to Rally Control. Medical personnel also are fitted with Communications. |
 | WARNING of Stage FLYING FINISH | The cars are given a time they cross the FINISH LINE, this sign indicates that competitors are 100 metres from the "FLYING FINISH". |
 | Stage FLYING FINISH | The moment the competitors pass this sign, their finish time is recorded and sent down via radio link to the STOP LINE |
 | COUNTDOWN to STOP LINE | These signs are placed in reverse order ( 3-2-1) equally between the FLYING FINISH and STOP LINE, once competitors are within this zone, they should be slowing down to Stop at the STOP LINE. |
 | STOP LINE | The Competitors STOP here to be given their Stage FINISH time on their competition TIME CARDS. |
